Fred T. Bees Original 1970 Watercolor “Franklin Lutz Schoolhouse” Lower Saucon PA Framed

$425.00

Original watercolor painting by noted Bethlehem, Pennsylvania artist Fred T. Bees, depicting the historic Franklin (Lutz) Schoolhouse in Lower Saucon Township.

The painting is signed with Bees’ distinctive red artist stamp and dated 1970. The lower margin is hand-inscribed:

“Franklin (Lutz) Schoolhouse – Lower Saucon Township”

This is an original watercolor on paper—not a print or reproduction. The subject has especially strong regional significance: the Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse is preserved by the Lower Saucon Township Historical Society, and an original Fred Bees painting of this same schoolhouse was donated to the society’s collection.

Condition

Good vintage condition overall, with attractive color and fine architectural detail. The watercolor itself presents well.

The mat has visible age-related toning, staining and tide lines around portions of the outer edges. The frame has scratches, finish wear, small nicks and scattered marks consistent with age. The backing and hanging wire are older. Glass may show glare in the photographs. The painting has not been removed from the frame for inspection.

Please review all photographs carefully for the exact condition.
