The painting is signed with Bees’ distinctive red artist stamp and dated 1970. The lower margin is hand-inscribed:
“Franklin (Lutz) Schoolhouse – Lower Saucon Township”
This is an original watercolor on paper—not a print or reproduction. The subject has especially strong regional significance: the Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse is preserved by the Lower Saucon Township Historical Society, and an original Fred Bees painting of this same schoolhouse was donated to the society’s collection.

The backing and hanging wire are older. Glass may show glare in the photographs. The painting has not been removed from the frame for inspection.
